The ornamental cherry tree in the garden, seen from my studio window for three consecutive days of autumn.

I love the ox-eye daisies that grow wild in my garden and paint them every springtime, weather permitting.

The strong light at Djibouti pushed me to change my palette. Subsequently I’ve built on the new techniques I developed there whilst working in the field to evoke these trees.

I found these wild daffodils on the coast at St Vaast whilst looking for a spot from which to paint Tatihou island.

I painted this one whilst in the first lockdown, making the most of the wonderful spring weather to work in the garden.

Thanks to the workshops and exhibitions held at the Pigeonnier http://www.stagesdupigeonnier.com/stages.html in the village of Plieux, the beautiful countryside of the Lomagne area of the Gers in France is the focal point for many of my landscapes.

The Chapelle-Gaceline is a small village near where I live in Brittany, France.
